Craft Voyage - July 2008

Straw Blowing

This is a very easy activity that your child will have fun with...younger children will need assistance though as they need to learn to 'blow' through the straw.

What you need
* food colouring or very runny paint
* paper
* straw

Method

1. Add drops of different food colouring or paint to your paper.



2. Using the straw, blow the drops into different directions, making patterns as you go. Talk about what happens to the paint when you blow it this way or that way...
Discuss what happens when the blue paint mixes with the green paint etc...



3. Allow to dry and now you have a great painting!
